Colonel Joe Kittinger Park Virtual Tour

Colonel Joe Kittinger Park Virtual Tour.

Colonel Joe Kittinger Park is located on the southwest of the Orlando Executive airport. The park is dedicated to Col. Joe Kittinger, whom is now retired from the United States Air Force. The park first opened in 1992 only to be temporarily closed in 2008. In March of 2011, however the park was re-opened at the same location. The park has a nice playground for kids, a pavilion to provide some nice shade. On July 22, 2014 the park received a new addition, a restored USAF F-4D Phantom II aircraft. The aircraft is the same plane that Colonel Joe Kittinger flew in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
